Saving Faith, Ceremony, And Spiritual Growth
September 15, 2024
How are we saved by God? The answer lies in faith in Christ alone—trusting in His sacrifice and His promises, and turning to Him in repentance, not relying on our works or rituals.
This past week, we explored Romans 4:1-12 and learned about saving faith through the example of Abraham. He wasn’t saved by his works but by his faith, showing us that faith in Christ is at the heart of the Christian message. Ceremonies like circumcision and baptism don’t make us right with God—they are outward signs that follow faith, reminding us of the righteousness we receive through Christ, not through rituals. Our spiritual journey mirrors Abraham’s, where deepening trust in God and His promises, fulfilled in Jesus, is key.
