Heart Change

Is this you? Do you have the outward signs of a believer but lack the inner faith?

On Sunday, we were confronted with this piercing question by Kyle as he preached through Romans 2:25-29. We were convicted of the truth in this passage which teaches that no amount of knowledge, shame or guilt can change a sinner’s heart. Only God’s spirit can. As we see and meditate more on the beauty of the gospel, the things that matter more than God in our hearts – our idols – will be revealed to us so that we can turn away from them and turn to Christ.

We were also reminded that God has given us the grace we need to obey him. We have the Spirit in us to convict our hearts, to guide and empower us to live lives obedient to God!
