Chaos, Calamity, Confidence

In our lives, we will experience chaos and calamity. We will face opposition and strife. Daniel’s vision in Daniel 8 made this abundantly clear. It was a vision of strife and overpowering — which are accurate of this broken world, in Daniel’s time as in ours.
But Daniel’s vision and its interpretation show that God will overcome this chaos and calamity. Opposition will cease, not by any human hand, but by God’s hand. Meanwhile we should stand with confidence at God’s power to overcome. Amidst chaos, we should continue in the tasks to which God has called us in the confidence that he instils in us.
At our service, we also had the privilege of affirming & welcoming 8 people into covenant partnership with us. We were blessed by their testimonies of coming to faith in Christ, and we look forward to journeying with them from now on.
