Authentic Faith

The passage from Matthew’s gospel showed us that Jesus is mainly concerned with our hearts. In particular, sin isn’t just outward non-conformity, but an inward state of the heart. Therefore, as we perfect our faith in Jesus, we should seek to conform with God’s will for our lives — not only on the outside, but more importantly, on the inside. May we have God’s grace to do so!

By the end of the service, reflecting on the Canaanite woman’s faith, Jesus’s miracle in feeding the four thousand, and his teachings to his disciples, we were challenged to examine the posture of our hearts towards God.
