The Art of Remembering

The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Jesus as a way to help us remember. We remember the past – how Jesus suffered for our sins; we remember the present – that even in our fallen human nature, God continually guides us and continues to be faithful to us; and we remember the future – that Christ will come again, he will restore all things and we will be reunited with him.

Let us practice the art of remembering the faithfulness of God every day, learning to call to mind these reminders to help encourage and strengthen us as we face life’s challenges and temptations!
