Where Is My Treasure?

Chris Abner, one of our elders, preached from Matthew 6: 19-34 and challenged us to answer two questions: “What do we treasure?” and “Who do we trust?”

How do we know what we treasure? Look at what we spend our money on, and what we spend our time on. We invest in what we treasure. We were encouraged to treasure God, because treasures of this world are corruptible and will not last.

When we treasure God, we will trust Him. We won’t let our hearts be consumed by bigger and better things, but instead rest in the truth that our good God will give us what we need, even before we ask. He knows that above all else, we need a relationship with Him.
