Equipped to Please God

Self-help books, online training courses, TED talks.. We all want to be better equipped to face the tasks that are before us. As followers of Jesus, we all have an over-arching task of Christ-likeness. Am I equipped? How can I become better equipped?
As Kyle closed off our sermon series on the book of Hebrews, we were reminded that God HAS equipped us by the gospel to do his will in a way that pleases him. In our own efforts, we will most certainly fail. But the comforting and encouraging truth is that Jesus has done everything necessary for us to live a life pleasing to God – through his death, resurrection and his daily guidance and provision.
Our homes, relationships, workplaces – we can strive to honour God in all, because this is what God desires, and because the gospel enables us to.
