Spirit Empowered Family

ManHon, one of our elders at GCC preached from Ephesians 6:1-4, a few short but very rich verses. It helped us to see how God has designed families to display His purposes from the beginning, whether by nature, in God’s laws, or the gospel as seen through Exodus, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, Proverbs, …etc. and in Ephesians itself.

To walk as wise people of the light, we are called to honour and obey our parents, just as we ultimately honour and obey the Lord. Parents in turn, are called to raise children in the Lord, exercising and reflecting God’s loving care, discipline, and instruction to His people.
